Who knew when you started googling to find a psychologist would feel so confusing? Everyone seems to be saying the same thing. How do you find someone who truly meets your needs and understands what YOU are all about?

My name is Don Campbell. I became a psychologist because I deeply love helping people who have been through hard situations and want to make their lives better. I know how to help because I am no stranger to the very same struggles and I love seeing people heal and regain a joyful life.

I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and specialized training and experience in working with multiple types of traumatic experiences. My specialties include depression, anxiety, low motivation, disillusionment, low self-worth, and childhood trauma.

I know calling a psychologist can feel like a big step, but I’ll make it easy. We’ll spend 15-minutes on the phone and I’ll let you know how or if I can help. If I am not the right person, I’ll do my best to get you to the right person.

Feel free to phone or text me at (657) 333-2725 for your free 15-minute phone consultation with me to see how I can help.

Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy in Orange County.

  • I offer individuals online and in person therapy. Most clients with busy schedules opt for virtual sessions for convenience. I do offer a limited number of sessions every Monday for those who feel more comfortable in person.

  • The initial session is 60 minutes. In this session, we discuss and identify the goals of the client. Every following session is approximately 50 minutes long.

  • Estimating the number of therapy sessions needed can be challenging, as it depends on various factors, including the specific challenges you’re facing, the rapport between you and your therapist, and your openness to the therapeutic process. Issues like context-based stressors, deep-rooted trauma, or certain personality traits may each require different approaches and timelines. On average, research shows that many people begin noticing progress within approximately three months, with more lasting symptom improvement and maintenance typically seen between six months to a year or more.

  • Yes! I do take insurance when I have space available. The insurance providers I take are Optum, Aetna, United Health Care, and Cygna.

If I am out of network for your insurance provider, I am happy to provide you with a detailed receipt called a “super bill” to submit to insurance for reimbursement.

  • We can discuss approaches to therapy and what works best for you before we begin.

A few of my core approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, and Attachment Theory.

  • $225 for a 50-minute session for either individual or couples therapy.

  • I use an industry-standard application called SimplePractice to manage all engagement documents, billing, and notes. This software is a portal where you can fill out all the necessary documents, make payments, and confidentially receive communications. The portal is HIPAA compliant so know your sensitive information will be safe.
